Chutes & Lattes

Sunday January 15,2014
I went for the 1st time to Chutes & Lattes. It's a nice little cafe that you can play board games at. You pay $5 per adult or $2.50 per kid for your spot to sit and play games as long as you want essentially, you pay the $5 on your bill, not like a cover or something. They have milkshakes, sandwiches, quiches & desserts, as well as all kinds of cafe drinks, coffees & lattes. My whole table had to try out the milkshakes when we discovered they had them. I had a chocolate milkshake with the added flavor of strawberry cheesecake, very good, my only gripe with it was, I could have had more. I also had their California club sandwich, which had turkey, avocado, bacon and chipotle aioli, with a side of ceaser salad. There were no fries with the sandwiches, however the ceaser salad was really good so I didn't miss the fries at all.
We were there for hours, when we arrived around 6 there was an hour wait, on a Sunday night. The place was packed till about 11:30 only because they close at midnight. Apparently they're going to be opening up a Chutes & Lagers where alcohol will be served, can't wait for that! There were 5 of us in my group & because I'm not a big board gamer we played games that could be easily taught, that could be played with that number. We got through about 3 different games . My favorite, which seems to be pretty universal was Cards Against Humanity, the card game for terrible people. Being a card game it allowed us to eat while still playing. Great game for sure. I'd like to play that while drinking, but knowing my friends that would just make it WAY worst than it already is!
Chutes & Lattes is a great place to, good food, warm atmosphere, great service & the gaming aspect makes it fun for everyone, geeks, gamers, families, everyone. Can't wait to go again.
